2015 Ram 1500 4x4 …… went to do a oil change this morning and realized that new humming sound isn’t my mt tires it’s my front diff is most likely empty because the front diff is wet at the bottom where the two halves meet. No gasket right? Just buy like gear oil rtv sealant…… reinstall and fill?

Local Napa or parts house should have this. Prep surfaces and clean with BrākeKleen. Put a 1/4" round bead around the flange, spread it smooth with a small brush, let it dry for a minute, then assemble. I use this stuff exclusively on engine cases, transmissions, axles and never had a leak.

GOOD OLE "Permatex", I'll leave out the jokes on the names we used to call the RTV stuff, not PC these days...
