Curious if anyone is running a 4" lift with 20x12 wheels on 35s. I see a lot of people with 6" lifts running these wheels, and I love the deep lip look. However, I'd like to keep my lift at 4" max cause I don't like step bars.

Pics are greatly appreciated!

The guys running 6" lifts are running -44 offset. Not sure if that same offset would be feasible or not with 4"...you guys probably know more about that than myself.

Anything over -24 and I can see issues. Maybe someone can chime in to help you further but -44 offset your definitely gonna rub my friend I don't have hands on experience with that offset and lift height but my .02 is it will not end well without some serious trimming

In your opinion, would -24 offset be ideal for running that wide of a rim on a 4" lift, or would I be better off sticking with a 20x10?

Personally I would go 20x10 but I don't know forsure the max offset you can handle with a 4 inch lift. I'm thinking you would swing the -24 offset 35s ok with none or very little trimming. But I don't have any hands on experience to tell you 100% my buddy. But -24 is a nice offset vs the stock +19 and with a inch being roughly 25mms (someone correct me if I'm wrong) each tire will be pushed out roughly 1.75 inches. Nice offset.

If you don't want to go 6 inch because of step bars then don't buy step bars. I have a 6" and no step bars :p but there's no way you'll fit -44. with a 6" I rub slightly on one point turning in reverse. But if I was to lose two inches, I'd need a sawzaw or a new front bumper.

But a 20x10 in a -24 offset is virtually the same backspacing as a 20x12 with -44.

Not quite the same as your set up, but here's what I got.
3.5" lift (front)
18x10 with -12 offset
295/70R18 - about 34.3" diameter

I have zero rubbing.

Use this to compare what you have to what you want; and get out the tape measure.
Custom rims, wheel tire packages for your ride - RIMSnTIRES.com

Used it for mine, compared vs stock, and it was pretty much spot on.

Thanks, that's what I was needing to know. You have any trouble getting in and out of your truck without steps? Also, how's the ride compared to stock/leveled?

You running the 6" RCX lift? You have one of the two wheel styles I'm considering.

I'm 5'11", so I really won't have a problem with no step bars. Truck before this was a 2012 JKU Jeep with 4" lift and 37's and never had a problem, but my short friends like to ***** about it. ;)

I know exactly what you mean. Always fun giving them a boost though, if they're wearing a short dress!

By the way, how much of a hit did you take to your fuel economy after you installed the 6" lift and wheels and tires?

Damn, that's a helluva hit. I'm getting about 18.3 city right now, haven't even had it on the highway.

You'll probably require some trimming and bending of the pinch seem

A member on these boards named Elroy, lifted his on 6" Zone and did do a 20x12 -44 offset and has zero issues.
The difference in height between the 2 kits is 1"

Elroy's thread

Does your ram have the plastic bumpers or metal?
Metal offers a bit more clearance than the plastic ones due to the lower front valence

Mine is an express with the plastic bumper. I'm still torn between a 4 or 6" lift. I'm assuming a 20x10 on a -24mm offset would be good to go on a 4 inch lift, as compared to a -44mm on a 6"?

Am I correct?

No.
You basically will have the same issues. They only differ by a fraction and with 2" less of height, it's still not enough
