Looking to upgrade my tires on my '19 Ram from the stock A/T to something a little more aggressive looking. Anyone have input on size? I'm looking at BFGoodrich KO2 275/55/R20. Pics would be rad too :)

I hear and read nothing but GREAT things about them.
I am looking to buy a full set before next winter. (You can read reviews on TireRack.com as well.)

I had them on my 14. The best wet traction I’ve ever experienced in a tire. Great off road and snow tire as well and wore well. I am most likely going to be buying another set in the weeks to come but the Nitto’s have a slight interest to me.

The 275/55R20 will maintain your same 10.8” width, you “may” be able to get away with a 60 (33”) but it could be close as well as look stuffed. Some people like that look so it’s really subjective.

I really like my KO2s. Great traction in wet/dry/gravel/dirt conditions, not noisy on the pavement, they wear very evenly and my current set is coming up on 32K miles. The tires had 15/32" tread depth when new, I'm down to about 8/32" left, minimum tread is 4/32" so they're good for a little while yet.

Won't hesitate to buy another set when the time comes.

I had them on a previous truck 35/12.5/17.

One tire went out of round after 5k miles. Probably just a bad early batch.
Quiet tire, good dirt tire. Obviously struggled in soft sand/mud, but unfair to criticize an AT tire for not being excellent in those areas.

Worlds better than the KOs. Dry rotting slick lol.

I "assume" the KO2's were awesome in the snow?

Not KO2s but I went with Terra Grappler 275/60. Had them on my last truck, so had them put on right away on my new truck. About $400 cheaper than KOs, not quite as aggressive but also a lighter tire to help the MPGs

Just put a set of ko2s on my 2014 1500. Have roughly 1000 miles on them so far. To early to tell you anything more than so far I love them. Been through some muddy fields and they have done good. Mind you, I wasnt “mudding”, just doin chores while doin my best not to get stuck but the tires did their part well.

Also been heavy rain where I am lately (20 inches probably over 2-3 weeks) and they have done good on wet roads driving with common sense. My last day on the SR-As, I hydroplaned 3 times but they were almost to the wear bars. Not once on the ko2s so far.

Have also towed probably close to 4500-5000lbs with them on, definitely better than the SR-As in the stiffness department.

Slight increase in road noise from the the stock SR-As but the trade off is worth it to me.

Mine are 275/60 R20 in a load range D, however I am running them on a 4th gen. Paid $1225 for a set of 4. But I paid for the extra warranty which was $120 ($30 per tire). Without warranty would have been $1100.

I have about 3000 miles on mine. Noise is not bad for an AT tire but wet traction is not that great. I’m in MN so hoping to test on snow soon.

I've used Ko2's on my last 2 trucks, they are great all around and tread wear is awesome. I traded my last truck in with 30,000kms on the tires and the dealer thought i just put them on, which gave me a few extra dollars on the trade.

The Goodyear’s that come stock on the 2016 ram 1500suck. I think I got lucky with 27k. So I am looking for a good tire BFGs all terrain keep coming up. Also the Nitto tires have also come up. If anyone can comment on mpg and noise. I mostly do road driving and want to know if the noise is an issue. Btw I have the eco diesel and it makes good noise. Any opinions would be great

Btw BFG KO2s Costco 234 plus tax per tire. 5 year warranty and life time rotation. The tire should get 70000 miles. That is the warranty. Obviously that is prorated.

I took off my stock SR-A's at 8,*** miles. They were already showing signs of wear. Not to mention I got 3 flats within the first month or two of ownership! One was non-repairable. I sold the used SR-A's for $200.

BFG T/A KO2's were installed last Friday. 275/60R20 D rated on my 4th gen. They've got about 200 miles on them now. They are louder than the SR-A's, but still quiet for an AT tire. I haven't checked MPG's yet but anticipate a small drop.

They are quite a bit stiffer - which I'm hoping will reduce sway when towing. Can't wait to try them out in the snow. Heard great things about their snow performance. Staying with the OEM size, there weren't many other options as far as LT rated tires go. I paid $1,060 OTD for the set.

I guess I stand in a class of a few, because even though these are great tires for what they were made for, if you do a lot of off-roading, or if you want an actual light truck tire, I’m afraid to say that I won’t be buying these again. I have a 2018 ram 1500 and the stock size of the 275/60/20. They have great traction literally everywhere but if I had known that I was going from a standard load tire all the way up to an 8 ply tire, I wouldn’t have bought them to begin with. That’s my fault for not doing my research. Even at 45psi which, is about ten pounds less than what BF Goodrich recommends I run mine at, they still make my half-ton ride like a tank. Even with my truck’s air ride, these things still ride rougher than I’d like them to.

I don’t know if any of what I said means to ya OP, but just keep in mind this is what happened to mine after I spent 1300 bucks on these when I bought them at a Discount Tire and that you’re gonna be going from a 43 pound fire to a 55 pound tire. My mileage went down too.
