Hello,
Need help, have a 2009 2500 4x4 SXT 6.7 Mega Cab(1st year mega cab). I have a injector out, I am highly mechanically Inclined.
1. Do most of you guys change your own injectors or should I just leave it to the pros? I know it’s a time consuming project, and I was going to do or have them all changed while everything is apart.
2. Should I replace them all or just one that’s acting up?
3. One concern is I’m reading that they hv a number on them and that number has to be flashed or entered into trucks brain.
Is this correct???? If so can I install them and hv a place I put info into brain?
I am trying to figure out should I tackle this project cause it’s gonna run in the neighborhood around 2,000-3,000 I’m guessing. I found what I think are nice injectors for under 300.00 apiece. Hv no idea if hats high low or what my truck has been sitting for a while (over 6) months. Had a heart operation, and worried about other things going out due to not being run. Any help greatly appreciated Steve
