I’m looking into purchasing a 2012 ram 2500 with a atk vege remanufactured crate 5.7 hemi that has about 6k on it. I’m new to truck ownership but the family have always been dodge owners. While doing research online I have heard horrible things about atk’s crate engines, their customer service, and problems trying to get them to honor their warranty. I know how people online can be so I thought I would ask people who know their ram trucks, what are your thoughts on atk and their crate engines? Should I be worried? Side note: I had a friend warn me about dodge and transmission problems, is he talking out his ass or is it a common issue with that year of truck?
