Auto Dimming rearview mirror?

Those of you with auto dimming rear view mirror option, do your side mirrors dim, or just your interior one?

My old ford dimmed all 3 mirrors, but my Ram only dims the interior one. I'm wondering if this was how it's designed or if there is a flaw in my truck.

Depending on what trim level truck you have one, two or all three. A lot of the SLT, BigHorn, Outdoorsman, Rebels will have the driver's side and rearview dimming mirrors. The Laramie Limiteds will usually have all three. I don't think any of the towing mirrors have Auto-Dimming
You can tell the dimming mirrors as they have a thick plastic rim around the glass part.

Auto-dimming exterior mirrors (both sides) are standard on all the Laramie trims and the Powerwagon. In other trims, the dimming mirrors are part of the luxury package. Of course, there are exceptions. The RAM brochure lists all the options by trim and can be downloaded.

My 2017 Powerwagon doesn't have auto dimming exterior mirrors.
