Has anyone had luck changing the shift sylanoid or should I just find another transmission
Automatic transmission slipping wont go anywhere 2000 1500

What transmission do you have? Did you have any other indications before it started slipping like an trans overtemp light? Did the top gears start slipping first?
My 2001 46RE overtemped, 4th gear started slipping until it got so bad that gear was unusable, then 3rd gear. After about 15 miles 1st and 2nd gear was all I had, so I had a rollback drop my truck off at Aamco, and they did a total rebuild.
