If I have to leave the turn signal on (both sides do this), the rear will quit blinking. I get the message on dash, the fast blink. The light is actually out.
Sometimes later that day, or in the next few days, it will start working again. It's mainly the right rear, the left does it also. Last Saturday I had the hazzards on for a minute when they both went out. Left started working Monday. Right cane back on line Wednesday. The left quit again waiting in the turn lane. I've read several threads, 3rd brake light is fine, taillights are LED and there are no signal lights in the side mirrors, in both light all the individual leds work.
I'm at a loss of what to check next. I don't want to throw parts at it.

It's a 2014 with LED's? Not sure what model you have? Have you owned it from day one? Are the tail lights aftermarket? Could just be faulty load resistors, I've had to swap them out on my 2014 after sometime.. If the truck originally came with stock incandescent rear lights and there are LED's in them, hopefully someone put load resistors in them and they probably did if you are just now encountering the issue. Should be easy to identify, remove a tail light and you will see the splicing and a resistor strapped up somewhere or worse, hanging around. More info needed otherwise.

If you return the vehicle to stock OEM bulbs (and remove any LED resistors that were added), your problem will be solved.
