if it is tore apart and you do not have the ability to put it back together yourself you might have a hard time getting another shop to take over. have you paid for it up front?Hate to tell think about this. But I may email them today and tell them I will pick it up next Friday. Done or not done
do they offer any kind of warranty? If you end up putting it together and it blows I doubt they will stand behind anything. They may not any way but just worth mentioning. Tough situation for sure.I can put it together, from what I gathered they already did the machine work and balanced it. ive put 5k down

They had plenty hellcat motors there. I hope they got the right equipment lolIt's annoying that what is arguable a much better motor design (except for the damn single cam) and heads is so much less desired than freaking LS motors and coyotes and costs so much more to upgrade/work on.
For anyone doing a motor rebuild or machine work, make sure the shop works on our generation hemis and has the right torque plate. If they hone/bore cylinders and don't have the right torque plate to simulate torqueing the heads you'll get a poor result. Maybe not noticeable for a daily driver but for high performance and forged assemblies it'll make a difference in longevity.
You picked it up? or is he moving along on it?Got these this morning

Another reason you should have gone with BES. Mine came with a 3 year 36k mile warranty.I asked when I first brought it, he said to a certain extent. If I come back with a hole in a piston no warranty.(which is understandable)
But low oil pressure or knocking. They would cover it. All with them building, with me I know I won’t get anything.
Maybe it’s taking so long because it’s not a high powered Vette or camaro motor.

Rebuild? What is wrong with a crate engine? My truck has over 330,000 km and when/if engine dies it is out with the old and in with the new. Too expensive? A rebuilt can be bought cheaper. I know a hobbyist master mechanic whose turnaround for that is two days max. He has right now 8 cars and trucks on his lot and he has replaced engines with craters for all types of vehicles. Has a hoist and is a top notch mechanic.
