Got my eye on a 2024 Ram 2500 6.4
Carfax shows that it originated in California. I live in Atlanta.
Are these trucks equipped with any kind of quirky California emissions that may cause me any problems down the road?
Any guidance appreciated

from what i've read, yes, they have different emission stuff. But, maybe some who live there can chime in and correct me.

"If your vehicle was manufactured to California emissions, the exhaust configuration and actual components used may be different than a vehicle manufactured to Federal emissions. You can identify a CA or Federal vehicle by the emissions system label"

As I continue to research, looks like the newer Rams (2024 2025) are 50 state emission compliant. May be an exception for diesel, otherwise its not like the old days where California cars were to be avoided. All states it seems have complied to California emission standards.
Again, any other insight appreciated

The enitire nation has been infected by California emission laws, all vehicles are the same now and have been for ~20 years ( I think it went into effect in 2004?) All vehicles must comply with CARB, there is no longer a "california" version, they are All California cars

I think it was 2007. However legislation is in progress to roll back standards to 2007. It's attached to the "big beautiful bill"

If this occurs, eliminate start stop, active fuel management , (MDS) and DEF.

I'm not political but this will be interesting to watch. grab your popcorn

I'm nearly certain all modern production gasoline powered vehicles in the US are 50 state compliant. I remember the CA specific models in Ye Olden Days, like the 305 powered Corvettes when everybody else was getting the 350, though.
