Is there a difference in a 2010 1500 2wd rear end and a 4wd rear, Or could a 2wd rear end (with matched gears to front) be put under a 4wd 1500?

The 2X4 rear-end will fit your 4X4,you can even bolt the 2011+ ZF rear-end into your earlier 2010 4X4 with the AAM diff.The only change they made was around MY 2012 when they moved the ABS wheel sensor from the front of the axle to the rear of the axle,and it's not a deal breaker on the diff swap,as it's easy to grind the notch into the axle to fit the sensor on either the front or the rear of the diff.
