Baby Ram

Hello all. Been lurking for a little while now since I started researching info on Ram trucks. Finally picked up a used '18 1500 Bighorn in Bright White so I figured I'd make this official. It's a baby ram with the 3.6 but should be plenty for my needs right now. Took a while to find a nice one with the 3.55 rear end. So far I'm very pleased.

Future plans are to keep it very modest but make some minor changes. Probably a small increase in the tire size. Not sure if I'll go AT or have a dedicated winter tire set yet. Should probably make up my mind quick since the snows starting early here in IL. Might look into leveling it eventually.

Hopefully I can get one of the famous @Brandon-w transfer case switches Would enjoy the piece of mind when I'm chasing the snow in WI during the winters.

Look forward to the community and soaking up all the wisdom from the experts.

WELCOME to the group ! I think you will like the Pentastar V 6 ! I love mine , I have 3:21gears on a 4x4 Quad Cab and avg 21 MPG w/ Good Year AT/S stock size tires ! Best MPG so far has been about 23 at 75 MPH !

I'm interested to see what my MPGs are with the 3.55 gears. I do a lot of short trips in city driving though. Will do a handful of trips to northern wisconsin throughout the year so will get to see what the hwy numbers are on those drives.

Around town (Rural ) I avg 20/21 so not a big change for my when I do all Hwy !, Also my read out on the truck is maybe 1 mpg off, sometimes less
