so ive been having problems on my 03 dodge ram 1500 hemi with the back right brake locking up on me in reverse. at 1 point I think the front left locked up on it but I just stuck my head down there and listened so it might have been the back brake again. right now im sure that the back brake is what locked up today but have no idea what would cause it only in reverse.
if yall have any suggestions that would be awesome. btw I did my ball joints and did have to take out the abs sensors so if those could cause this let me know

Are you sure it is the brake? Or is it something just binding up? I would suggest jacking the truck up under the rear end and turn the wheel you think it is coming from both ways. See if it locks up or makes noise. I don't think actually being in reverse has anything to do with it, just going backwards probably.

I would think it has to be something to do with the brakes cause I can hear screeching when it happens and I keep going. and I would think if it was the rear end or tranny binding up somehow it would do something weird in drive too.

Check your E Brake, the linings are known to come off, jamming the rotor, usually while backing up. They are located behind the rotor, they use the inner hub of the rotor to keep the truck from moving. They look like mini brake shoes.

I had the same issue and it was my e-brake. I thought I backed into something the way it abruptly stopped.

the lining on the cable had been wore through from one of the metal mounts then had rusted over time until it finally seized the cable inside the last time I used it I guess. long story short new cable on order
