Bad luck on my new 2020 Ram Limited

So I have 700 miles on the truck now. Yesterday I noticed a 1 inch cut in my driver side front sidewall. It must have happened on the highway. Sad I have to replace the tire I took it to Goodyear and got a replacement for $300. It was night time when it was finished and I drove the truck home. I went to clean off the wheel and put some dressing on the new tire and found a surprise. My inner wheel well is all scratched up to the metal. I called Goodyear and they said bring it by tomorrow so they can see it.

Hopefully they do the right thing and have the rim replaced. There is no reason you should bring your vehicle in for service and have it returned in worse shape. I have my fingers crossed. If anyone else has the nice painted rims make sure they don't get scratched up when you get a new tire.

I would think they would replace it too. Is it possible someone slashed your tire and scratched your rim? ?

No the tire was damaged. The wheels were fine I just cleaned them prior to taking it to Goodyear. They had a fresh coat of Turtle Wax seal and shine applied today. I hope they replace the rim. It's on the inside but its still scratched up to bare metal. Not something you want to see when you spend 57k on a new truck.
