So here is my Ram. First ill show you how I got it a month ago.
IMAG0069.jpg

I didn't like the alloys with the Chrome trim over the fenders so I picked these up.

Here they are on

IMAG0078.jpg

I have a Hell Bent Steel leveling kit that should be getting thrown on this week. Plus on the 7th of November I've got my appt to get my windows tinted. Any input on that is appreciated I'm thinking doing the side and backwindows in mirror tint to go with all the Chrome.

Looks good, I would just go with a black tint. Is this a daily driver truck? if so iowa law says no no on the door tint.

It's not a daily driver. I think Iowa law allows tint on front passenger Windows but it can't be very dark. That's why I'm thinking the mirror tint. What I lose in darkness may be made up for in reflectiveness.

Mirror tint is illegal cause it blinds drivers just like holding a mirror up to light.

Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed along the top of the windshield above the manufacturer's AS-1 line.
Front Side Windows Must allow more than 70% of light in. (this is what pretty much comes from the factory)
Back Side Windows Any darkness can be used.
Rear Window Any darkness can be used.

Front Side Windows Not excessive reflectiveness, law is not specific.
Back Side Windows Not excessive reflectiveness, law is not specific.

Restricted Colors No colors of tint are explicitly banned.
Side Mirrors No restrictions.
Certificate Requirements Manufacturers of film do NOT need to certify the film they sell in the state.
Sticker Requirements No sticker to identify legal tinting is required.
Medical Exemption State allows medical exemptions for special tint. For more details about the specific terms of the exemption, consult your state law.

You might go with a very light tint on the sides (like say a 50%, depends on how the popos are in your area.) I had 20% on my Avenger doors and they did not like that, it actually registered at around 15%

70% through the side windows. You should be able to get away with 35% tint, which will still make a huge difference.

I vote a big HELL NO on the mirror tint. I think it's horrid.

Well I'm gonna try to go as dark as I can all around. The cops in my area don't really care what you do around here. They spend all their time chasing high school kids around hoping they have beer and sticky buds.

Nice. Sounds like you got some good plans for it. 35% would be good for tint. I have 38% on my truck and haven't had any problems.

the limit for the front pass, driver windows are 30%

See my post above, for the state of Iowa, it is 70%. Every state is different though, and not all cops in force it.

Well I went to the tint guy today to clarify everything. They will not tint the side Windows at all, just the rear, so 5 in the rear it is.

Did you get the strip across the front? I really like mine cuts down on the need for sunglasses when I forget them.
