For the calipers it's probably easier for them to give you a quote on them then get into changing your brakes and finding one or both that don't retract. Remanufactured because they're rebuilt. If you were to buy a caliper from a parts store they will change you a core charge til you bring your old one back. That way it can get sent out to be remanufactured/rebuilt.

For tires I would not be paying that price for, at least to me, a no name brand. No way in hell. If you're getting cheaper tires go to simpletire.com and buy from there. They do have a lot of name brand tires also. They will ship to a local (to you) tire installer for free. Or even go to walmart. Order online and ship to store since their store selection isnt much. $1400 is way too much for what I'd consider cheap tires.

Well, I took my truck into Les Schwab, and before I pull the trigger on getting repairs, I wanted your thoughts first. This is for new tires, which is about normal for what my truck costs me. I mostly wanted thoughts on the balljoint and the rear-brakes. Are they wanting to replace the calipers because they are damaged, or is this just normal for Les Schwab? It threw me off seeing "Remanufactured" on it.

I had a sticking slide pin or whatever its called in my front left caliper. Tore it apart and cleaned it and I was still having issues, turns out one of the pistons was sticking as well. Didn't want to mess with an already troublesome unit so I replaced the hole caliper at that point. BUT, since the other 3 calipers are working just fine, there's no way I'm spending $80+ a piece on new calipers just because I happen to be doing pads and/or rotors. If you are having problems then sure but if not then I wouldn't let them waste the money. Idk if reman is an issue for them or not but I specifically bought a new one.

I'm with @White six four on the tires though, that's an ok price for a good name brand set but if it's some chinese garbage it better be under $1k for the set (I wouldn't buy cheap tires but you get my point).

I know location will play a factor in pricing, but I bought Cooper A/T tires in a 34" size for less than that from Discount Tire. Looks like they are adding on for TPMS and such, but that's pretty high for some "cheap" tires.

Also, do the brakes yourself if you can find the time. They are pretty simple to do, and you can do a step-by-step video to change them out. Buy the parts from RockAuto, or your local auto store, but check prices first. You should be able to swap them out in roughly an hour.
