I’m getting a p2098 code bank 2 on my 2014 ram 1500 express classic now I’ve looked up as to what side that bank 2 is on an I’ve now seen 2 different answers. One is saying the drivers side while the other is saying it’s the passenger side. I’m here to see if anyone can give me a definitive answer.

As I understand it, cylinder 1 (3,5 and 7) is on the drivers side = Bank 1. Cylinder 2 (4,6 and 8) is on the pass side = Bank 2.

On a V8 the easiest way to find #1 cylinder if you're not sure is to look at the engine, one side/bank of the engine is always about 3/4" farther ahead then the other bank. They're offset the width of the connecting rod,and the bank that's farthest ahead is usually bank #1 and will also be the #1 cylinder

Likely either an exhaust leak or failed downstream O2 sensor on the passenger side
