The Gooloo GP4000 looks like a great buy based on this review, and it's on sale at Amazon.com ($80) and Walmart.ca ($88) for any Canucks in the market.

It appears there's some sales tax deal for us Canucks, too.
Taxes charged on $97 were $1.30 instead of about $13.

I splurged and spent an extra $10 for the 2-year replacement warranty.
Now I can reserve the use of my NOCO GB40 to start the lawn tractor.

In the old days i've boosted a vehicle,by touching the chrome bumpers together to make the ground connection and using a scrap piece of barbed wire found in the ditch to make the connection between the 2 positive posts,sure can't do that now a days though

Just to add to the chorus of carrying around a charger box - I never had one before I bought one maybe a year & a half ago for my van, which developed some parasitic drain I never could find. Always just kept jumper cables in everything, old school like me of course. Never going back to jumper cables. Don't need another vehicle, don't need to worry about if the other vehicle's power system is going to fry your vehicle (or vice versa), can't hook up the jumper box wrong (at least mine you can't) and you have an emergency USB supply for your phone or whatever (I have a separate battery compressor). Didn't even think I'd need mine again until my Ram died in the Lowe's parking lot totally out of the blue, battery must have been on its way out and just went caput.

Yep, and just to add, you no longer have to worry about moving/aligning the donor vehicle to the dead vehicle. Can be rather problematic if the dead vehicle is sitting front-in to an obstacle.

Also, the one time my battery died on me was in my driveway. I thought I was just imagining that it had been cranking a little slower in the past 2 days, then - dead. Just one click and no crank. Basically just like your scenario. But because I was home I could use my old Sears charger and let it charge for several hours while I hunted down a battery. Then it would start with a boost from the charger.

If that had happened away from home I probably would have been faced with a tow.

I know what you mean about amazon's shipping.I ordered one of these,because my old one is pretty well wore out.It showed up today with the box open and missing the hose and with a dent big enough,i think it'd been ran over by a forklift,so it's going back.

I bought 3 of these in 2023. One for my son in Denver (2014 Outback), one for my daughter in Indy (2018 Mazda 3), and one for the truck.

My son and daughter have used theirs numerous times. Turns out my daughter was using hers daily last winter. She works a 7 pm - 7 am shift in the critical care unit. Was jumping the car every morning. I suggested a new battery.

I have used my jump pack a few times, but never on the truck. I keep it in the Rambox along with my battery Bubba knife and other essential tools. Far easier to jump other vehicles without having to maneuver the truck into position to connect cables. As others have indicated, it's handy for starting the tractor in the spring.

I ordered another for my '06 Chrysler 300. I'm on the second battery (1st one lasted 15 years) and I'm thinking it is nearing EOL.
