after 5 days of inactive use the battery went dead, its less than a year old, battery checked out as well as alternator and starter 2019 longhorn 5.7L

Most times this happens because of short drives not allowing the battery enough time to recharge. When was the last time you took it for a long drive with out starting it. Also a batteries life in these new computers on wheels is not as long as it used to be.

Nope. Either put on a maintainer or like take an hour trip or more straight without stopping to get SOC% up closer to 100 %. That trip is like twice a week if your battery has any time on it. My thought is to insure no issues and put on a maintainer sometimes. Even my battery gets to where the alternator is putting out like 14.9% volts to get SOC up, as I am just as guilty, and no, do not have a maintainer on ride. If I did not move truck once in a while, I would be leaning towards buying a NOCO to permanently mount under the hood.

OP U might even have a parasitic draw somewhere that not help.

All IMHO.
