Bed lights....

So I got home tonight and went to unload the bed of my truck with the truck off and driver side door open and the bed of the truck was pitch black. I tried playing with the dimmer switch but only my side mirror lights were working. From what I remember, the bed lights and the light above the windshield always came on when I opened the door even when the truck was not running. Am I just a complete idiot that is remembering wrong? Or is there an issue that I could look into?

Did you try the switch in the bed under the left rear bed light?

Likely you have the dash lights dimmed too much.

Honestly had no idea there was a switch there, I will check it in the morning. Thank you!

So apparently I was wrong....I checked the manual, and the cargo and bed lights only come on by themselves when you unlock the truck for 60 seconds. I could have sworn they came on after shutting off the truck and opening the door. I did turn them on and off with the switch next to the light dimmer, so they are working.
