I talked to the local LineX dealer and asked to get the bed sprayed along with the top of the bed rails.
The LineX guy said they don't/couldn't do the top of the rails because of the plastic caps?
I would think the plastic caps could be removed and then sprayed.
Anyone else have any info on this?

I got 2 quotes, one with and one without going over the bed rail. They remove the plastic like you thought.

The top of the bed rails have a bunch of holes in them that clips go through to hold the caps on. Look under them and you'll see.

I think they can cover those holes with lineX. I could be wrong.

They're pretty big holes. Bed liner alone wouldn't fill them, they'd have to fill them with something else and then spray over that. Here's a picture of what's underneath.ddrumer-albums-12v-install-picture41074-remove-bed-rail-cap_zpsdvpksod5.jpeg

They can use a metal like tape then spray over the tape with Bedliner and make it all disappear. Will be plenty strong. That’s what they did instead of spraying the little black plastic cap in the back of the bed. Haven’t had a single problem in 2 years with it
