Is it still low-profile? That's what I like so much about that cover. I'll have to look it up.

I still have the one from my 4th gen. My dad and I modified it to fit his quad cab 5th gen since I had to get a new one for my crew cab. He loves it!
Looks almost identical to the regular lomax, still low profile like the standard version.

Depending on whether you get in and out of your bed very often, and depending on your age, you might consider a Bed Rug. Trust me--your knees will thank you every day. They are easy to clean and your stuff doesn't slide around in the bed. If you have a tonneau cover, you shouldn't have to worry about rain/snow soaking the bed rug.

I also like that the BedRug has a fairly thick foam base that is not only great on the knees but doesn't allow water to penetrate to the truck bed.

Several members have mentioned Bedrug which I ditto their opinion. I have a Lomax tri-fold top on my Laramie. It is a low profile, secure top. Keeps the rain out and is a great cover. Good luck. Go IU and Go Colts!

I prefer a bet mat over the linings. It provides a non-slip surface and some cushion. For Tonneau cover, I like the soft cover that rolls up. They're relatively inexpensive and easy to rollup when needing to haul a tall object. Great for keeping the wind/rain off your load when it fits within the bed.

i have a paragon tonneau cover on my 2022 2500 Laramie 8' bed. It a little pricy, but works and looks great. As far as a bed liner i had mine factory sprayed and i still put a weather tech liner in.

Definitely get a bed rug! I had a truck accessory center and sold thousands of these. Unless you use your bed frequently for dirty work, you will thank me profusely for putting a bed rug in your truck. Keeps your stuff clean and secure, easy on the knees, looks great, easy to clean. Cost less than most sprayed in bedliners. You can get the kind that covers just the floor or the kind that covers the entire interior.

As far as tonneau cover, I used to sell the expensive ones by Truxedo and Access but have found over the last couple of years there are better roll-up covers out there for a few hundred bucks. I have a Barricade brand on my ram truck and I think it's the best one I've ever used. Believe it cost right at $200.

Roll up covers are the way to go because you still have full access to the bed when you need it unlike trifolds and hard covers, they look sharp, are inexpensive, and there's no reason to do anything else.

I know I'm opinionated but I used to do this for a living. So I learned what works for people and what doesn't.

I have a ‘17 Sport. Came with a spray in liner as an option not sure what the dealer would have applied. I’ve had lumber, firewood and gravel as well as a quad in the back and it’s stood up perfectly. As far as a cover, mine has The Lo-Pro by Truxedo. So it mounts to the inside of the box rails instead of on top. It’s a soft roll-up and it’s worn beautifully. The only downside is that it doesn’t cover the 2 open stakes pockets at the back but I’ve still had almost no water in the bed even with a pounding rain.

I just got rid of my Bakflip MX4 rolling cover, Complete waste of money. It leaked like crazy, right from the start, there are various plastic parts that break, and after 2 years it no longer lined up correctly so it was leaking along the sides as well.

I spent the money and just installed a Diamondback SD cover. I got a scratch and dent one for $500 off. Very happy with this purchase. It leaks the tiniest amount at the front corners,
Ditto. I bought a MX4 for a 2023 Chevy in 2022. It was great. I bought one for my 2024 Rebel 2500, it was crap. Quality has gone way down and my experience with it matches FA's experience.

I run a Lund bed tonneau cover and had the bed sprayed with Line-X bed liner 10 years ago, & they both are still doing a great job.

Greetings. First post here, I did google and search this forum, and got some input but was hoping to get some more. I have a 2023 Ram 2500 that currently has a cheapie drop in bed liner (I purchased the truck used). I would like to replace it and while my initial thought was a DuraLiner drop in, seems there are a lot of benefits to the spray on/roll on liner coatings. Does anyone have any recommendations on drop in good quality liners as well as thoughts on the spray on/roll on ones? I am also interested in getting a 3 fold tonneau cover (I had one for my previous truck, 21 Tacoma, and loved it). I'm not clear on how it would install though since there do not seem to be any rails etc. to use to attach. I have not removed the old bed liner yet so there may be something there to attach to that I am just not seeing. Thanks in advance.
PS - if this has been covered, perhaps extensively, in other threads I'd appreciate it if you could point me in that direction. I searched, but my search skills seemed to have dropped off over the years and I miss obvious stuff lol. Thanks again.

This is a roll up bed cover that's aluminum with a vinal cover. I believe that it combines the best of both the final roll up and the tri fold aluminum covers

I recommend the Backflip cover for your bed. I installed it on my 16 2500 and you can walk on it if up to 300 lbs, and it folds up in quadrants for needed clearances. Water tight.

Just use https://bull-ring.com/ to cover the hole. Keeps the water out and give you a real convenient tie down point.

Still love my Access roll-up covers by Agricover. I've had them on all my trucks and they hold up very well. The cover on my Tundra is now 10 years old and looks almost brand new. They have very strong velcro and their tension mechanism is the best I've used to keep them tight and looking more like a hard cover when closed than any other soft tonneau I've seen. No leaking issues going through the heaviest rainstorms or an automatic carwash. I haven't priced them recently, but they used to be a little more expensive than the more popular brands but you get what you pay for.

I have line x finally my trucks I've owned and keep transferring the bed rug from truck to truck and can't do without it.
I honestly prefer solid fiberglass tonneau cover with steel locking clamps like raider whereas a.r.e. had rubber and slide bar that can still get yanked open. The fiberglass tonneau kept everything dry never had any water or bugs with all my tools in back protected. Also when someone asked to help them move or pick up something I told or showed them I can't with a fiberglass tonneau cover lol. Ya that's the only problem if you want to use for hauling daily. The odd time I needed for myself me and my son removed cover and re installed later. Pain ya but to me worth it. The fiberglass covers are expensive now tho. I understand around $5 grand in canada now. I have an extra i am selling in pw7 white can be repainted or wrapped for $1200. Was off last truck and already ordered one for new rebel gt not knowing dealership didnt include inquire of trade in...so ya I took off truck to sell and make some of my loat money back lol...
