Bed noise

When I go over bumps I hear a noise coming from the bed. I can't explain it anymore than a rear sound of metal to metal.

Any ideas?

Broken spring would be my first guess. I have one and get the same clanking noise over bumps.

Just dealt with the same thing. Have someone jump up and down in the bed while you are under it. Mine ended up being the rear control arm bushings.

I'd guess the shock sleeve came free and is rattling around on the housing / shaft.
The sleeve on my '13 is already rubbing on the lower housing.

Cheap junk factory parts!

Haven't fixed mine yet. I never haul much anymore. That would be different if I carried a load regularly. As it is, it just makes an annoying noise over big bumps.

About $6 for some grease from auto zone and a hour or so.

Like i said get a friend to jump in the bed and get the truck bouncing and look around underneath. Easiest way to find it. Good luck. Let us know what you find.
