I found the 963 kit without the nitro shocks for $280.

I was looking at the McGaughys kit without shocks. It just came with the Traction bar relocation bracket.

Has anyone just used the belltech springs without shocks. I know the ride would be a bit rought but i'ts only temp as I would be looking for better than the nitro shocks anyways.

Hey, I am all new to Ram Trucks, but I seem to remember in a thread related to 2/4 drops, a member mentioned running a BellTech kit and using his factory shocks. I don't recall if it was fronts, rears, or all 4 that he reused. I would assume wheather or not you could use the factory shocks would depend on the ammount of travel left in them AFTER the drop. As I said, Rams are new to me so I'm on the front side of the learning curve!

I'm using the belltech kit without shocks. I consider myself fairly picky on my ride quality and I hardly noticed any difference from stock. Just a tad stiffer if anything. I have yet to bottom the rear shocks but I do plan on building some shock extenders for it in the future.

Short of hauling something really heavy, I doubt you will bottom out the stock shocks. With the 2/4 you are just about riding on your rear bump stops as it is.

There are a couple guys running the Belltech springs and factory shocks with no issues at all.

I used my stock shocks up front and BellTech rear shocks. Don't waste money on BellTech's Nitro shocks. I you're going to get any BellTech shocks get the Street Performer shocks. I also installed a set of AirLift Dodge Durango air bags in the rear springs for that just in case haul I may have to do sometime.

What are you using with your kit?

I'm trying not to go to crazy yet as I financed a year on this truck to help rebuild my credit. As soon as next Christmas gets hear and I make that 12th and final payment, If I still have a lot of interest in it I'm gonna supercharge it and work on getting the power to the ground.

I kept my stock shocks all the way around. Only bottomed out twice and that was from crap roads here in Louisiana. Went on a couple 5+ hour road trips in it lowered and it did great. I have the 2/4 from belltech on my truck. The drop has been on there 4,000+ miles now.

Well got the kit Installed.

It took me by myself about 4 hours, that was taking breaks and looking for the right tools (I really need to clean my shop) Hardest part was taking the springs out of the front and changing the front bump stops. Anyone can install this kit. For less than 300 bucks it has the best wow factor of any mod I have ever done!

The Ride is great! Sure you do feel the road more but I also love the new handling!

Who want's a horrible teaser shot.

I'll take some better after this rain clears out the next few days.

Here is the last one for a few days, we are expecting 3" of rain over the next two days so no clean truck for me.
