Best AVAILABLE oil filters for the 5.7 Hemi??

Been doing some research, and the Royal Purple 20-820 filters looked AMAZING.... but it also appears that they don't make them anymore. Even the Fram Ultra XG10060 filters aren't available anymore!! And I've read that the Wix filters aren't made like they used to be either.... and NAPA Gold used to be a rebranded Wix XP, but they don't appear to be as good as they used to be? Not sure if that's because the Wix XP quality changed, or what??

As far as I can tell, the options that are PROBABLY still available are these....

* Mopar SRT MO-041 / 05038041AB (updated version that replaces the 05038041AA)
* Purolator Boss PBL24651
* Wix 57060 / 57060XP (XP even worth it?)

I haven't found any direct comparisons here, but if I'm missing anything that should be considered and/or added to this list, I'd love to see some more options... definitely some better options, even...

Even the Mopar SRT filter is junk now BTW. I use to run them a long time ago.

Lucky for me I got 1 more RP 20-500 left for next year. But after that im unsure what I will be using.

Probably be the biggest Wix XP I can fit under there

Microguard Select, Carquest Premium EP, those are the current "best". I think there's one more similar that I'm forgetting.

EDIT: Carquest EP not Premium. EP is full synthetic media, Premium is synthetic blend.

I'm going with the Wix 57045 - should be more than sufficient for 3-5k OCI.

If you're picking that up at O'Reillys, they make what looks like a direct copy of the 57045 in the Microguard Select line which is synthetic material over the cellulose paper in the Wix, MSL57045. It shows cheaper for me than the Wix also.

Carquest Premium looks REALLY nice. And I hadn't heard the Microgard Select mentioned before, but they claim 99% @ 25 microns, whereas the Carquest Premium claims 99.5% @ 20 microns. I'm not sure the Carquest has been independently verified, but apparently the Microgards have been?

I'll probably use the Carquest Premium or Purolator, depending on which is cheaper. Purolator One should theoretically be better than the Purolator Boss. One is supposed to have a higher filtration efficiency at 20 microns, but the One would need to be changed more frequently (15k vs. 20k). I'll most likely be changing it around 5k to 8k miles anyway, so better filtration seems like the better idea to me.... but the One's apparently have QC issues?!? Probably making a mountain out of a mole hill, but whatever....

My next question is.... if I'm changing every 5k to 8k miles, then are the "larger-fit" cans really worth it? I think I saw someone state that they got 1-2 psi extra oil pressure at idle, but no difference at operating temps. That's probably worth it in itself, honestly.... just wondering if there's any other reason people seem to gravitate toward the larger cans??

Larger cans are worth it for the flow increase due to having more filtration material, myself and a few others have gone remote filter kit with a massively larger filter for even more flow.

There really isn’t anything to replace the RP,, amsoil filters. I would check the car quest extended performance. My oci is every 5000 miles. Gives a little flexibility in case I go a bit over. If I recall correctly, carquest filter is a synthetic blend.

It is, Carquest Premium is synthetic blend, Carquest EP is full synthetic. I should have specified EP, that was my mistake typing quickly.
