There i a solution for that.....considering our tailgate weighs so little.....

You could A. Remove it, or B. Push down on the tailgate....

I thought it was a joke when people started talking about these....I just don't understand the point.

Common sense isn't...nor is common decency.

You sound like my Cousin, who could not understand why I kept telling him to get rid of his 14K dial-up and get Cable or DSL.

Dee Zee Tailgate Assist! Try it.
Not quite like the Discovery of Fermentation. . . but close.

Is this sub a direct replacement? I've been looking around for replacement speakers for the Alpine system and I've noticed "warnings" from crutchfield advising that the indepence was low which would cause low volume. I suspect this isn't a problem. How did you wire it?

it is. You just need the proper connection adpaters, but it's a direct swap. There's a thread on it in the audio section.

I’m a huge advocate of the tailgate assist. However, now that it’s cold out it lowers at the speed of a snail lol. You feel like an idiot starring at a tailgate slowly going down

Perfect time to practice your dance moves. Nobody will pay attention to the slow moving tailgate assist!

Cool. Do you have pictures of how you mounted them underneath?

-K

I used rivet nuts and screwed it into the inside of the rockers. On the back its drilled into a tab on the bed that hung down above the spare tire. Up front is currently zip tied until I figure out a different mount since the one I made didnt work out too well

Why is that?
I'm assuming I was speaking of an OCC ?

If so because it takes a while for the PCV venting oil mist & gunk directly into the air intake plenum to cause issues .

Im going to redo the Passenger side. It was my first try. The Driver side looks much better.

Do like! If my truck was two toned, I’d do the same thing. Actually took mine off.

The painted engine cover looks great. Is it easy to remove?

I installed this sub. After a bit of break-in, it is a nice improvement. Musical bass with just a hit of a thump. Thanks for the advise.

Yeah, just got to remove te ********* hose. thenlift, form the front of cover, it is held in place by plastic pressure snaps/clips.
grab front of it, lift up firmly, pull towards you.
