Beware of Ram flex care offers by mail

Got a nice card in the mail from what looks like Ram. Nice big picture of a Ram truck on front of card. On the back is a flex care offer with all my information about my truck. I called the number on the cared. They identify themselves as Mopar flex care. Get the sales pitch. I sign up. A week later, Was online and decided to log into my ram account. Get on it. There is no additional warranty listed. I called the number on the web site. Talked to a flex care representative. I explain everything. Said I have nothing for extended power train stuff. I explained the card I got, the plan I purchased. Said Mopar does not offer anything like what I just signed up for. Then he begins to offer me an extended limited powertrain warranty. I passed until I get this figured out.
The contract I got states there from Illinois. No official Ram pictures or mopar on the document. So now am thinking this is fraudulent. Have been on the phone with a bunch of different departments trying to let Mopar of what I perceive as fraud. No one gives a rats ass about this. They keep sending me back to the official flex care which all they want to do is sell me a plan. I even got a corporate directory and this lady just sends me to flex care. What a ******* joke. All they care about is to sell something.
Just a heads of folks. You get something in the mail for extended warranty, its probably bogus. So now, when I see or hear Ram cares, its only when you bend over and buy something from these folks.
PS. If any Mopar rep on this forum would like all this information, send me a PM. I doubt I will hear anything though. I don't care to do business with a company that doesn't care about this stuff so will be moving on from Ram in the near future.

Ram didn't make the initial offer, so they have no involvement or interest in what someone else is doing to scam owners.

This probably isn't the first time they have heard from owners who've been offered a fake plan.

OP, Being mad at RAM cause U got scammed and expecting them to do something good luck or to even take notice and care yeah ok.

It’s hard enuf to get things done when they sometimes should be done. Expecting them to react in any way I wish u well.

The card I have in front of me is from Ram. Which led me to believe it was genuine. I'll post a pic later today.

Didn't lose any money yet. Payments start in august. Will be canceling this shortly. Glad I used a CC that was changed over lately with a new number.

Scams like this run across all brands. I get cards trying to sell me a Nissan warranty from "Warranty Department" despite my factory warranty in full effect. When I called them (knowing it was a scam), I asked them what the name of their company was. All they could offer was "warranty department." When I told them I had a 3 year factory warranty, all they could counter with was, "Your warranty does not cover what we do." RAM can't or most likely won't worry about you being scammed, they're too busy at it themselves.

Hasn't the entire world become even worse of a 'Scam Central', over the past 5.5 years?
Most big businesses are only about the bottom line. They don't make trucks as a service to humanity.

Too bad the OP has been scammed, but where have you been all of your life to think that any semi-legit business has time to chase scammers?

Who will pay for that added operational expense? You, me, and everyone else.
I'm not interested in paying more for a vehicle to protect those who haven't learned how to be safe and sensible in today's world.

Sorry you got scammed, but that's on you and the scammer, nobody else.

It's probably genuine but it's not from RAM. You don't buy these contracts directly from Ram, you buy them from a retailer. That place is probably an authorized 3rd party retailer from looking at the history of the phone number, the domain registration, and sniffing around online. If you haven't made a payment yet, maybe that's why the other number you called couldn't see it, or you dialed up another retailer.

I swear the Scam stuff sometimes looks better than the real thing.

Just like AI doing stints or some places U call U get an AI BOT not a real person. And then chit how do U even know ne more.

Unless I personally initiate stuff I delete/trash anything that comes in, period.

Yeah MOPAR quit factory extended warranties. Likely wasn't profitable enough with even 5% Hemi cam failure rate.

The 1st step was to eliminate the lifetime extended warranty some years back. Now they're all gone. I had the 7 year 100,00 mile one.

I got something similar to this for my Challenger Scat Pack. Took the flyer to the dealer to verify if it were legit. Took them awhile but came back and said yes. Offered me a better deal than the flyer.
