Hello All,

Am a new owner of a RAM vehicle, I love the ride quality and the power, but was disappointed by a leaking issue that happening through the rear window from cracked plastique (or the seal of the rear light).
I checked the extended warranty, and my VIN is not included in the TSB: 23-098-23 REV. A (XL1) even though I am inline with all requirements.
Sent to a dealer, he told me, in Canada XL1 doesn't apply, it is only applicable in the US.
I called RAM CARE Canada, and they told me the TSB is VIN specific, and they I need to pay from my pocket, also they don't know why I am not included.
@RamCares Please I need a support from your side, what is it exactly ? only for the US ? or VIN specific ? if VIN specific, then why ? thank you so much.

First thing is to take action ASAP to correct any water ingress, worry about the $ later.
If the leak is significant, the RF Hub mounted to the back wall could be destroyed.
Or, if you have an e-Torque model, a battery module is also mounted on the back wall.

Either one of those devices will likely cost much more than the cost of fixing the window frame.

There have been stories from those whose trucks were covered by the recall, but the damaged electrical components on the back wall were not.

Sometimes the 3rd brake light is responsible, or it could be a crack in the back window frame. The OE 3rd brake light gasket is a total POS and can easily be replaced using generic weatherstripping from Home Depot.

Use the search utility in the upper-right corner to find the numerous threads on DIY repair or troubleshooting the point of water ingress to determine if it's from the 3rd brakelight or the window frame.

The cracked window frame is much more costly and a PITA. Some have successfully used glass shops, others have chosen to fight with Stellantis and often finally paid for the work themselves.

@turkeybird56 has an early 2019 non-eTorque 5.7l, and is knowledgeable on the window frame follies.

@RamCares is serving the USA, and we're still a different country.

I was reminded this morning of another point of water ingress, although less likely for your truck's vintage.

Is the back wall becoming wet after a rain shower or is it the floor carpet and/or storage compartments in the floor?

There are two plastic vents in the back wall used to equalize the cabin pressure when closing doors.

On older trucks, the rubber or silicone flaps on these vents tend to decay and fall off, leaving an open passage between the cab and truck box.
