Whats happening my fellow tuners? I have a question. Is there anyone here lurking the forum that has purchased or used the Pro Tuner Software from BG Chrysler? I am an HP Tuners guy and have been for several years but I am always open to try new or different things. Even though I don't need their products I like the price point at $499.00 for the Software, a handheld tuner and the vehicle license.

Can anyone provide any input about this tuning setup? I may just go ahead and by it just to play with it. I mainly would like to try it out on JTEC and NGC3 vehicles.

Haha I know your pain with the 03MY. Gotta get that wiring going and get yours swapped over to the 05MY PCM. I am really curious if it can tune the 2003MY 5.7 HEMI trucks. I dont have a 2003 HEMI truck to try it on but I am sure I can round up a truck owner who would let me do some R&D on their truck. I went ahead and made the purchase directly from BG. I have several JTEC powered vehicles that I want to use it on.

I have a race car that I want to switch from a carb to fuel injection and I want to do it with a JTEC PCM and I would definitely like to be able to do the tuning on it with the Pro Tuner Software.

I also have a 2004 Ram 1500 QCSB 5.7/545RFE/4.56 that I am going to see if I can get running on a 2007MY NGC4 PCM.

Haha yeah I am near Dallas, TX. I would give it a shot too. I just spent the last 20 minutes or so doing a comparison of the 2004MY vs. 2008MY PCM Connector Pinouts and there isnt much that is different. \

One of the biggest differences is the addition of the MDS Solenoid Controls in the 2008 PCM and there are a few small differences but I think I can make it run. MDS can be turned off in HPT so that wouldnt be a problem. I dont see any reason why I cant make it run with a 2007 or 2008 PCM. Based on the connector pinouts it appears that everything is in place enough to make it start, run and at least drive.

For a 2003 any unlocked Superchips, if you can find an older one that would be cheaper (their tunes are all the same throughout their various tuners). With a 2003 you can't take advantage of the more advanced options (like trans tuning) anyway.

Ooh I see so any tuner would work on it
Only if I upgrades the transmission gears
What? How in god's name did you arrive at that conclusion??

Totally up to you, but not the better one for this application and while you can put headers and an air intake, you will find "more" to be a very short path with a 2003 lol. Also, only one cam, not "cams". It's not a ford.

Hey guys, I am honestly fairly new to the tuning world. I own a 2006 ram with a Hemi 5.7. I currently have a K&N air intake, throttle body space, performance exhaust and a pedal commander on my truck. I've been wanting to get a tuner or a performance chip, but I am on the fence about which one to get. Diablo, superchips, bully dog... I just don't know. Would anyone care to help me out on any tips on what to get? I also don't wanna cause harm to my motor. I just wanna do it right.

Keeping physical engine stock? Superchips, and enjoy the trans tuning. Gonna cam it or do other major things to it? Diablo for the ability to load custom tunes.
