"Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue."
So I signed paperwork for a 2021 RAM 1500 last week. They told me they couldn't let me take it home until they perform the recall repair, which I was OK with because the truck was exactly what I was looking for.
But I'm starting to think this recall repair might not happen for months. Anyone have any guesses on when the repairs might start happening?
Also, I'm attaching the recall bulletin for anyone interested.
UPDATE: I called RAM to get some info about the recall. They said the software update is already available for newer trucks but not older ones. The truck I am trying to buy is a 2021, which the software update is not available for yet. I don't remember the exact year ranges for which have the update available and which do not. They also did not have a time estimate of when the update would be available for "older" trucks. They basically just said soon.
