I have a 2017 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel, I am going to put a katzkin perforated leather seat kit in. I am trying to find out what I need to add the AC seat option while I am doing this. Has anyone here done this? I already have the heated seats and steering wheel. I am aware that I need the new switch panel. What else do I need. Thank you

I'm guessing your going to need some donor Heated and Cooled seats. There is fans built into the seats that do the cooling.

I have a Big Horn and looked into this myself. The short answer is you need to buy the vented seats. No way to convert what we have, too many differences.

As stated the heating pads are incorporated with the cooling fans plus the seat cushions themselves are different to allow airflow. The seat module is different as well. It would be much cheaper to buy a set of Laramie seats or vented sport seats. The problem you would run into is they wouldn't match your rear seats. They would be a different color. Your truck will have all the correct wiring but you would need to enable the correct codes in order for them to work. The dealer Cannot enable these codes. They are blocked out in your vin#. You would need to use the alfa OBD tool to enable the codes. It is easy to do and is explained in the alfa OBD thread.

Well that sucks! Hopefully they will get it fixed and back to you in a decent amount of time. Try not to let this sour you to Ram trucks. Unfortunately things like this happen with all brands. I see people on the Ford and Chevy forums having new trucks having the same issues on occasion.
