So a local dealer here is offering this Big Horn at $46,180.00 at the moment. I might even be able to get it a bit lower. Now, I dont know all of the differences between the Big Horn vs Laramie. But, the options struck my eye. Have a peek at the window sticker below. What do you think?

That’s a pretty good deal considering how heavily optioned it is.

As a reference, Mine (2019 Bighorn) was $38700 except I don’t have the 12” screen, or the 33gal tank, or the anti spin diff, or the deployable rear step, or the trailer brake control, and last but not least... no bed utility group.

A Similarly equipped Laramie would prob be in the low $50s. Laramies come with leather, ventilated seats, etc.

I think it’s definitely a good deal.

That's a nicely equipped Big Horn, but Damn these trucks are getting expensive! That is what I paid for my nicely equipped 2500 Cummins Big Horn mega cab just 4 years ago.

Thanks. My dumb butt just realized these are cloth seats. Ugh. I presumed that since they have heated seats, it would mean leather. Not a fan of cloth seats with kiddos and dog. Going to ponder on this one a bit.

I prefer leather myself but didn't want to pay the additional cost of a Laramie just to get it. Since my Big Horn had all the options I wanted (except leather) I had Katskinz leather put in after the purchase. It cost me about $1k installed but it was much cheaper then bumping up to a Laramie. The katskinz are a real and much better leather then the Laramie leather "trimmed" seats any way.

That is a well optioned Big Horn. My 2014 was well optioned and I enjoyed that truck immensely.

Biggest difference, as you stated, is the cloth interior. But if you get the right price on it you can spring for some Katzkins leather covers and still be bucks ahead over the Laramie pricing.

@Nado.. I have the bucket deluxe cloth seats and I will NEVER go back to leather! The cloth seats are warm in the winter and cool enough in the summer... no more freezing or burning your legs. Sure, leather does look more upscale but I’ll choose cloth comfort over looks any day. Ram did a great job with the deluxe cloth seats on the 5th gens. I do understand about the dog and the kids though...

I have a MY 19 Bighorn, I got for 41K out the door, MSRP was 48K. U got a good deal there. Might be worth the jump. Screw the leather, cloth easier, IMHO.....

U got a lot more options than I got, and the 33 g tank and better luxuries, dang good deal....

Is the deluxe cloth seats like the center section on the Rebel seats? I wont rule it out. Im going to go look at this weekend. However, I am seeing some good deals on used Rebels in my areas. So I am looking at them as well.

I do not like cloth seats at all. Unfortunately Leather is not a factory option on the Big Horn/Lonestar trim level. So, I had the dealer install Katzkin leather covers. It was an item I put on the list from day one in negotiations. They tagged 1K on the sales invoice for them. Not sure what they really cost and don’t care. At the end of the day I paid what I felt was a fair price for the truck I got. Before passing on this truck, consider the Katzkins. 5EA9370B-0BF4-4D12-82C0-0FE64BE95F18.jpeg

Appreciate the feedback, and your point of view on it. If I didnt want all suggestions, I wouldnt have posted up on the internet. :) Im going to take the truck for a drive this weekend, and see how it matches up to my current 2015 Sport.

That sounds like a good deal...is that the actual price or is that the price if you're a farmer who used to work for nasa who just bought a new holland tractor? I've noticed some good prices on new ones but often they have every rebate possible included in that discount which many of us won't qualify for most. If that's just a sale price that seems very aggressively priced and I'd jump on it and then add the leather later if need be like others have suggested.

I have a feeling your hunch may be correct. But I will find out this weekend!

I certainly hope I'm wrong but that seems to be the game they like to play to get people interested. Good luck though I hope it's a legit price!

2016 Ram with Big Horn package here, no regrets what so ever. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought how great a heated steering wheel is on cold winter mornings.
