so I’m hoping someone could point me in the right direction, I think I’m right but just want a second opinion before I go gung-ho. My 06 ram 1500 has had a weird issue while at idle the second it gets warm whether it’s a few minutes in the winter or immediately in the summer the rpm’s will drop between a range of 500 all the way down to 50. Sometimes it’ll sit at 500 sometimes at 50. And you have hear it very distinctly not firing on one cylinder or maybe two. I changed spark plugs based on the old ones being burnt. And I had a misfire code that disappeared on bank 4 and the spark plugs that came out of that cylinder were the worst two. I did some research and mds could be at fault? I’m not sure but I could replace them or just delete it altogether. And I believe it also caused my lifter to drop whether it’s because the cylinder was dead or not. Just want to know if I should delete mds and go with non mds lifters and see if my rods and or cam is destroyed.
