it will work on any 4th gens.
you just have to cut the opening for the filter to slide in.
then snap the door on.

What exactly is the point of a cabin filter? Just "clean" the air?

Yeah, it's just a filter for the air coming into the cabin. Got mine today, and installing it was pretty easy. I figure, it can't hurt, especially since I live on a dirt road.
