bigger oil filter for 2004 5.7 ???

I have been using the FE16 oil filter on my 2004 5.7.Now that my stock is depleted I would like to go to a bigger filter.Can anyone please tell me what would work.I see the FE8A might work but I would appreciate confirmation from somebody who has actually used it.Thank you

Your larger issue might be with the part in bold above.

I poked around the interwebs and found this thread, for a Dodge 5.9L but same FE16 filter, might be of some help to you? I think you might end up having to buy it and try it.

You could scan the official oil filter thread. It's a bit long, but reading it backwards will show the most recent data first.
