Hello,

After reading a lot about a 2,5"spacer I have decided to go with the Bilstein 5100 in front instead of the spacer.

For the rear what do you guys recommend to get a lift in the rear for 2"?
Just a spacer on top of the spring or a better and longer coil?
The ram (4x4) has only 50.000 on it with the heavy duty shocks so the rear ones must not be too bad I guess, not seeing terrain at all only pavement.

Thanks and greetings,
Erik.

Keep reading the lift forum and the sticky. Lots of info about the 5100s. Maxed at 2.8 you will want upper control arms. Measure your wheel wells. On mine, 2.8 would leave me .4 high in the front. How you use it, what tires, etc, etc, will help you decide on spacer rear, or lower front.

Highly recommend going with the Eibach Pro Lift kit instead of the 5100's. They will ride better and perform better. Also you get 4 new shocks and coils! Then I would look into the Zone UCA's. Great bang for the back with them.

I didn't need UCAs with my 2.8 Bilstein lift. They look just as even as when the truck was stock.

Hey Nick now that the Eibach has been out for a while and having customers running them how would you say they compare to the Bilstein 6112s?

I would say the Eibachs have better road manners but the 6112s are a little better off road. I would recommend still doing something for the rear suspensions if you do the 6112's.

I installed the Bilsteins at 2.8 and added a 1in spacer for the rear.

I have Bils at 2.8 in front, added TGC 1.5" rear spacers, and also put in Fox 2.0 shocks in the rear. Handles much better than stock, but I can't comment on how it differs from a 6112 or Eibach setup.

bils at 2.8 in the front + 1.5" icon coils w/bils shocks in the rear = level perfection :)
