Hello all new member here. I have been bitten by the Ram bug lol.

I was always a Chevy guy but got my son a 04 Ram 1500 automatic with a hemi for his 16th birthday/first truck and fell in love with rams. The power and handling they have is amazing. It easily towes his 4 horse trailer. In fact I have been so impressed by his I sold my Chevy and bought an 04 2500 with a hemi and a 5spd manual today. It never gets old asking him hey that thing got a hemi lol and now he can ask me that back lol.

I have always loved Chevy Silverados, but ever since they started looking like the front of sport cars I said nope ..... right before I got my 18 1500, I was looking at the 18 Silverados and GMCs... but they just looked like toys, to plastic like and honestly I didn't like they way the felt driving either of them ....

On top of all that they wanted 20k down and I only gave 2k down for my 18 so it was a no brainer lol ...

Yeah the squarebodys were amazing to be honest they were tanks and would last forever if taken care of. I also really like the look of the 3rd gen rams to they aged really well. So far I have been very impressed with both mine and his we both have 04s with 5.7 hemis. But mine is a 2500 with a 5 speed and his is a 1500 with the automatic. His only has 110k on it but mine has 200 lol. So I’m a little bit worried about the valves in mine but for the price I got it for I couldn’t pass it up.

It seems that a lot of former Chevy guys now drive rams I had many Chevys loved them all now I love my power wagon when they went to ifs they lost me it cost to much to lift an ifs truck and they broke a lot in the early years solid front axle is the only way to go for me

Agreed. I would love a power wagon or a trex but I didn’t think they made the newer ones in manual and I wanted a manual ram.

Nice! A three pedal HD. Welcome to the forum. I know of several original owner 3rd gens, both 1500 and 2500 hemis, that are well north of 100k miles that have been extremely reliable with just routine maintenance and plenty of grunt to spare!

I'm one of those guys. I liked my Silverados but I wish I would have bought a Ram sooner. It all really comes down to what you like but in my opinion the RAMs quality and looks beat Chevy hands down.
