Black Chrome Badges?

I had planned on taking some Plasti Dip to my badges like I did on my last Ram. (for you nay sayers, it held up strong for the three years I owned the truck) My new is Granite Crystal and the more I think about it, going flat black on the badges might subdue them a bit too much considering how dark the paint is. So I got the idea of doing them in a black chrome. I worked for toyota back in the early 90s and they had a chemical process to turn the chrome emblems gold. Anyone heard of the same but turning the emblems black chrome instead? Anyone seen listings for the badges done black chrome already? Opinions welcome good people.

Few drops of black mixed in some clear coat. Spray a coat or two. Wala, black chrome.

It actually work well, I will be doing this to the GF's Charger till she decides (lets me ) put wheels on it.

But you will also want to lay a layer of a Clear Primer Adhesion Promoter to get it to lay even over the chrome.
