Black exhaust tips

Anyone have a preferred 5" exhaust tip in black recommendation?

I used plasti-dip on my stock tips, worked well, has survived the winter.

I also plastidipped mine going on 2 years now maybe more and they are holding up ... I don't see the need to buy expensive black exhaust tips when you can just either paint them with some high heat paint or plastidip ...

I was just thinking the 5" fills the hole a little better. I thought about plastidip but wasn't sure it would hold up to the heat.

You’re right the 5” would fill the hole nicely but tips are so damn expensive IMO. On the other hand, I may just be cheap. The plastidip held up well for me as well and if it gets messed up just peel and redo.

I might do that till I figure out what I want to do. I'm thinking about maybe doing a muffler swap with the black tips.

Iam buying these for my truck, I have a 2500 that I am going to put duals on so going with 5” tips.

They are on Amazon for $35 each.

Carven has 5" black tips. I ran them on the 2017 I used to have. My 22 Rebel has black tips and I am trying to leave the stock exhaust alone.

Go cheap if you are planning a swap anyway. I run the Borla ATAK with 5” tips and it fits perfect.

Im looking also. Totalflow has the black 5" tips right now for $70 plus shipping, so a bit over $90. I may just save some coin and plasti dip or high heat flat paint though. Not sure, cause the 5" do look nice.

The Carven black tips are the only way to go. They are double lined and look great. They are an exact replacement for the stock tips. Just unclamp the stock tips, and clamp these on.

Can you see the bolt from the back of the truck? ie Can you tell its a bolt on not a weld on?

Me too, I have a '20 Rebel and love the exhaust tone. Sometimes I hear other slightly louder trucks and I waver a bit though.

Can you see the bolt from the back of the truck? ie Can you tell its a bolt on not a weld on?

I don’t know I have not bought them yet, with that said Iam going to have my muffler guy weld them on anyway and not use the bolts.
