Just got home and have found that the buyer of these lights isn't happy. It's never my intent to have someone not have what they feel they've paid for. With that being said, I'm going to refund all his money and as a sincere form of apology if he chooses, he can keep the headlights. I'm not that guy who can accept not having someone happy with dealing with me. Will I lose money on this, yes but the important part to me is that he is happy.

Again not my intent to have anyone upset or annoyed with any dealings of mine. :(
Wow , I wasn't aware you wer posting here Sir .
To all reading here , the seller DRkNESS , has been a stand up guy , and has agreed to give me my money back . He and I never spoke of the disposition of the lights .

Honestly , I never had intended to keep them( and resell ) , I was and am fully intending on sending them back to the seller !
I feel with the seller being a stand up guy and giving my money back this is the absolute right thing to do !

I'd like everyone to know that DRkNESS Has been a complete adult and a stand up individual over this situation thus far and I will most definitely be shipping the lights back to him once I receive the funds .

Once he has these back in hand , if you have a 09 -12 Ram I belive these will work for you ?
I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from DRkNESS again .

This situation is a simple misunderstanding between he and I and he is making good on his end (see above ) and I'll do the same by sending this gentleman his headlights back .

Good night .

Ronnie

First off these are Headlights and secondly I believe the p/n s originally listed above are incorrect.
The stickers on these lights are unreadable , and Sadly are not plug n play for my 14 Ram.... I will be sending these back to the OP .

This morning I did a side by side comparison of these lights against my 14 factory Quads , they are identical as far as mounting goes .
Unfortunately they are not plug n play , which is what I was after . I do believe these could be easily retrofitted to work with a 13 + Ram .
This is some pics as a comparison on the right is my factory 14 Chrome Quad & the left is the OP s black Quad headlight .

I'm not sure what these 3ea plugs are supposed to hook up to .
2ea single pole & 1ea double pole ?

@DRkNESS , hope this helps for the sale going fwd Sir .

Now , I need to obtain a box or maybe I'll pack them separately in individual boxes , not sure ?

Ronnie. What kind of bulbs are in the lights you got from the OP? Those connections look like the hook ups for HID bulbs. If that's the case you should be able to just take the dust covers off yours and swap them over and use your bulbs instead of the ones in the housing. Pull the covers off and see what's under there.

@ 12 Sportmc , I did take the dust covers off and the bulbs are 900_ something can't remember now ? The bulbs do look the same as my oem bulbs in my chrome quads . As for the wires they are running a couple places , didn't look really hard at the exact location of the wire routing once I knew they were not plug n play for my factory setup , honestly I just lost interest and closed them back up .....that's where I'm at now , just not interested in doing a retrofit . That's why I'll be sending them back to the OP .
Thanks for your thoughts though!

Wow, that's crazy. Those part numbers he posted show that they will work on 2010-2017 RAM 1500 with quads. Every picture I can find of the backs don't have those wires coming out the back??? Must have been modded or maybe adapters to be able to run them on dual headlight trucks??? Glad to hear everyone will be happy with the outcome..... sorry they won't work for you RLK.

Yea those are 100% HID bulbs and wires in the black housing headlights.

You could do 2 different things.

1. Buy just a set of Ballast and you would be good to go. I'm sure JJ could help you with that.

2. Take off the dust cap and twist the bulb and remove it. The wires will come out with the bulb. Then take the bulb from your old Quad headlights and put them into the black headlights and they will be plug and play for your truck.

All Rams from 09-15 (maybe 16, not 100% sure) that have Quad headlights from the factory are all the same hookups. The connectors have remained the same through out the years.

All you need to do is remove the bulb and put a halogen bulb in its place. Or hook up ballasts and you'll have hid's.

I can't even begin to understand why the seller is refunding 100% of the money when all the buyer needs to do is swap the bulbs.

More respect to the seller because he is a very patient and honest adult. Most members on here would tell the buyer to remove the bulbs and that they will work and that the buyer needs to figure it out.

Darkness gets a +1 in my book.

For sure hid bulbs, unscrew dust caps on the chrome ones and take out the halogen bulbs and put them in the black ones and then put the dust caps from the chrome quads on there so you don't have the hole for the hid wires. 09-16/17 quads should all be the same regardless as far as I know in 13 they changed the reflector style a little bit but not the wiring.

@ OnSale & 12_Ram .

So these headlights have all the bulbs in them , and evidently the 3ea plugs ( 2 ea single pole and 1 ea double pole ) coming out of the dust cover as mentioned by both of you .
You two seem to know much more than I about the HID conversion .
So tell me this :
1) what's the advantages in having the HID Conversion?

2) what's the disadvantages?

3) what's the remaining parts I require( p/n s and pics would be nice ) ...ie.. Ballast and such .
What hooks up to what ?

4) what P/N of bulbs would I require in the future if one should blow ?

5)What bulbs are HID ? High beam , low beam , blinker ? ?

I would appreciate the above info gentlemen ....

My reason for purchasing the blacked out Quads above was due to the simplicity of a plug n play OEM style install using oem style bulbs with no specialty parts , wiring , Ballst and different type bulbs to install ?

This is what was presented by the OP with the P/N s posted .

Some folks including myself really want a simple Headlight install and just want the black as opposed to the Chrome .

With that said , you two have absolutely sparked my interest in the HID' s , so please answer my Q's above .... if nothing else you guys could really help the OP in the sale of these Headlights .

I believe the seller has the ballast and whatever else is required for a full HID conversion for an 09 - 16 Ram because they were installed in his 2011 Ram ?

Odd how the extra parts and info was not included in the OP (Original Post )

Thanks for either or both of y'alls input on the list of my Questions above !

The HIDs would just require a ballast kit which would come with the ignitiors( that's what plugs into the small plugs coming from the bulb) and for your Year truck you would also require a CANBUS adapter which plugs into the other connection on the ballast and then to your OEM light connector. Very simple on the 14 Rams. I am running HIDs with projectors on both my headlights and fogs.
I don't recommend using the HIDs unless you put projectors in the light housing. HIDs are not designed for reflector housings and will blind the crap out of oncoming traffic. Plus side you can add a projector to these lights yourself and have a decent set of lights.

The process for hooking up your OEM bulbs from your stock quads to those is very easy. @OnSale nailed it in his earlier post. Literally just unplug the HID and swap in your halogen and throw your chrome dust covers back on the new lights.

I can pull my fog light out tomrrow and send you a picture of the CANBUS adapters , ballasts , and igniters if that would clarify things a little more. Lemme know

I'm going to keep an eye on this [email protected]. - if you decide not to keep them please let me know. Maybe I can save some shipping for the whole transaction by taking them off your hands rather than you needing to ship them back for a refund and the OP having to resell and reship.

Sounds like a plan to me .
Tomorrow when I get my refund from the OP , they are his again .

So long as he tells me they are yours , I guess I could just send them to you ?

I'll be packing them very well , not sure how much that's gonna cost to New York ?

Shouldn't be much more than whatever it would have been back to South Jersey...I'm in the NY metro area. Just let me know and keep me posted on your communications with the OP and maybe we can figure out how to make this work without extra shipping charges being paid all around.

You should PM DRKNESS , He is a pleasure to deal with ! Actually he prefers email which he posted in the OP.

If you purchase them from Him , he sends my Refund in full , and he tells me to send them to you this could work out well for all .
If this ^^^^^^^^ is how it all plays out then at that point just P.M. me your shipping details and I'll send them your way .
I'm gonna try and get them all packed up for shipping tomorrow or Friday.

I'd rather just send them back to the OP , but if he's cool with it and post that publicly here then I have no issues with that cenario at all , so long as all parties are in agreement.

Not much need to reply since your mind has been made up but I'll answer anyways

1 HID light output is about a million times better than the junk halogen setup in these trucks.

2 Not really any disadvantages other than you have a few extra parts to worry about going out such as a hid bulb, hid ballast or possibly a relay of your running the mopar spec morimoto harness or a canbus adapter

3 Parts needed would either be mopar spec harness or canbus adapter, ballasts and then just install it. Would I recommend putting hids in stock reflector housings, no all your going to do is blind other drivers and scatter the light. Do people do it all the time that don't truely understand how hids work absolutely! It will still be way brighter than halogens even with the scattered light but is it ideal for other drivers NO.

4 Bulbs would be the same number as your current bulbs just HID bulbs, typically not found in any local store and if you want quality I highly recommend Jeremy @ retroshop or theretrofitsource.

5 quads have separate hi and lo beams duals have one bulb that do both, fog lights will also take hid bulbs, turn signals the conversion would be led

With all this being said I run the ideal setup IMO for hids granted I have a small chunk wrapped up
in it but my light output is awesome and I don't blind other drivers with simple PnP hid kits. I have 13+ projectors with upgraded fxr projectors meant for hids since the stock projectors are meant for halogen bulbs, my fog lights have been retrofitted with morimoto matchbox projectors. I run all morimoto bulbs and ballasts and the mopar spec harnesses for the canbus. Rest of the funds ******* in these I have paint matched both heads and fogs and headlights have diode dynamics switchback led boards installed. Just because I'm running stock style projectors doesn't mean anything a lot of people run retrofitted duals and quads that probably have less ******* in theirs than what I do yet still get great lighting output. Again this is just my 2 cents on headlight stuff someone else may have more input but this is mine take it for what it's worth.

Hid's in those lights without a projector is for sure going to give you more visible light from inside the truck great for you, but bad for everybody else because with no way to control the light it would blind all on coming traffic.

Sent him a PM this morning. One way or another we'll see if we can make this easier on everyone. I think these would look awesome on my truck and I was thinking about blacking out emblems and rims and stuff soon anyway.
