Can anyone shed some light on these lights I have acquired, I don’t see too much info on them. What years were they active, are they worth as much as today’s projectors?

09+ 09-12 you need an adapter. Those will be worth a lot more than the other OEM ones because they have the black shrouds... they stopped using those because of melting issues.

I thought the oem projectors had RAM written in the lens. I dont see that on these.
Good catch, if thats the case these might be retro'd THC or another brand...

OP can you post more pics?

My FIL’s did not have it stamped in. We installed 35W HIDs and never had melting issues, must have been a QC problem and discontinued as OEM.

Don’t know what they called the package, blacktop express maybe. Essentially a super basic Sport without any bells and whistles.

Looks awesome, its similar to the issues with the morimoto melting... it was inside the shroud from the sun.

My 2015 sport has these. Word is they can't handle the heat from a 55w ballast, but 35w is okay. Im running 35w currently.

Again...that is what I have read.

I had those on my 15 Sport and you could melting going on the shroud. I replaced them with chrome Laramie style from TYC and the low beam projector lens was far better than the oem lens. Clear lens instead of a hazed material that oem has which gave the TYC lights a more crisp output.

For those people who claim to have melting issues, I wonder where they are mounting the ballasts. I know some who jam it in the housing. I didnt. I mounted mine outside the housing on the frame.

The melting is from the light/heat the bulb gives off on the interior of the schroud.. if they are chrome on the inside... the light doesnt melt them. Thats why retroshop paints only the outside of them when they color match.
