I am seeing a lot of threads regarding tow mirrors but not the covers. Here is my situation and questions;
1. I am simply trying to blackout the chrome on my non power fold tow mirrors. 2019 Laramie 1500.
2. What is simplest/best method? Paint them (I suck at painting)? I would prefer to buy black covers if they exist and look good.
3. Is the tow mirror (non power fold) exterior construction (not the wiring ) the same on 4th & 5th gen? From what little I can find it appears the construction is the same. I am just considering buying covers to put over the chrome, so the difference in wiring does not matter to me.
4. Assuming the 4th gen covers fit over the 5th gen chrome, which "black" would you recommend? Black Chrome or Glossy black? I would prefer a simple matte or satin black but have not found that option.
Any links to the right product or any input would be most appreciated.
To be quite frank I thought this would be a simple task, but as usual I have converted a simple task into a more complicated process than it probably needs to be.
Thanks in advance!
