Thanks for sharing - hint, prol'y want to remove your personal contact info for privacy.

Looks like a GDI engine owing to the unburned fuel dilution and matching lowered flash point. Gonna need to change that oil often!

Your post got me thinking I should sample Ma's w*h*i*z motor oil. It's our 1st GDI engine.

Mazda CX-5 with 2.5L I4 Turbo. Wanna see how much fuel dilution it's getting @ 5k mile OCI. Might have to shorten OCI if it's as high as yours. Also gonna check additive depletion via TBN reserve.

Been using PUP 5W-30. Mazda specs 5W-30 for their turbo motors. Makes sense - higher bearing loads and temps.

Thanks for sharing.

I had a Hyundai Accent with the 1.6 GDI back in 15' as a scoot about for work. It was a great little car but the oil wreaked of fuel every oil change at 5,000Km's using synthetic oil.

The dilution in the GDI engines are pretty significant. I never did an oil analysis, but from experience and years past turning wrenches I knew I had to keep the oil change intervals tight to ensure trouble free longevity on the engine.

Your truck is far too new to be running UOA's. I mean you can run them but you can't actually use any of the data for drawing conclusions one way or the other.
