Bought a 2026 Rebel with the SO Hurricane. Changed the oil and filter this weekend with ~500 miles on it. Oil drain container is always cleaned before each oil change to see if there's debris of any kind. You can see the break-in metal flakes in this first change. It's beyond me why they say the first change can be at 10k miles. Who wants to be driving with this in your oil for that long? Next oil change will be ~1500 miles, then ~3000 miles and landing on a ~5000 mile interval.
