I was doing some research on google and came across a challenger forum where I found out that apparently you can email wheel companies and ask for an un-drilled, blank version of whatever wheel you are interested in. This really got my attention because my top 3 wheel choices are all from Hostile who only offer 6 & 8 lug patterns.

Does anyone have any experience in doing this? Do you just email them and tell what wheel you want? Does it cost any more/less?

And also how much does it cost to get 4 wheels drilled?

Unlike the others I wouldn't see any problems with it really, assuming you have them drilled by a good machine shop to ensure they're done right. Of course having a machine shop do them would probably cost quite a lot relatively, just to get a certain set of rims you like. Really unless you're willing to spend a lot more just to get those specific rims, I'd look for similar ones you like that come in the right bolt pattern.

How do you guys think wheels get the bole patterns set?
There milled to spec.

If you find a good machine shop that can drill them, open of the bore to 77.8mm it will work fine. It's not a very complicated process.

Many people have wheels drilled or re-drilled. I will say though it will probably cost to $400-500..

Some wheel company's only offer blank wheels and they machine them to the pattern you want before shipping... alot of wheel shops on ebay do this so they don't need to carry Soo many sets in different patterns. They are regular wheel shops that machine the wheels per order.... it's smart in my eyes.
