Exactly what blend doors do what?

There are 4 doors in most HVAC boxes
others have 5 doors

The best way to understand the HVAC system is to have you watch a video or 3

There are 4 or 5 doors all together

First one is a Recirculation Door, the actuator can be seen if you remove the top glove compartment & look upwards toward the windshield

The next one can be seen by looking to the left of the glove boxes, i believe that one may be called a BLEND Door
they guy shows you the actuator & how it moves a lever, It also shows you how to test to see if the door is OK, using his fingers & listening to the door movement.

The last 2, you have to remove the Bezel that surrounds the radio
i believe that the one to the right is also called a MODE 1 Door
The one just to the left of it, is called a MODE 2 Door

The video is on a Gen 3 Ram, but Gen 4 Rams are almost identical
