Blower fan surging on high setting

Hi all, Recent Ford convert here.... should have converted sooner.
I picked up a 2018 Big Horn recently and needed to replace the blower motor, now when the fan is at it surges at the highest setting (7 only), it runs fine on other settings.
I was going to test the resistor but can't seem to find one. The space where it should be has never had one in it.
I'm assuming this is due to the auto climate control? Or is it somewhere else?

I found my answer about the resistor....it's actually part of the motor assembly.
I guess I'll see what I can do with the replacement fan assembly, a classic "get what you pay for" deal.
