So I am working on a 2013 dodge ram with a 5.7 hemi. It had previous work done to it recently and as soon as friend got the truck back its running bad. They had replaced the cam and heads, but during the install they didnt time it correctly and it bent some valves, so some head work was done. I am hearing a slight knocking near cylinder 5 and i can hear it echoing through the exhaust. I have the valve cover off and plan to rotate the motor while watching the valves for anything abnormal. I did get to use a borescope in the cylinder 5 that had a slight misfire before they re looked at it. I see some white stain marks on the cylinder wall, ill post a picture. Any tips on where to go next would be appreciated and input on the cylinder wall.
