Blue tooth problems driving me NUTS pls help!

So I have a new 2014 Longhorn. I'm here in Canada. The dealers tell me I'm not supposed to be able to get my SMS text messages over the uconnect via Bluetooth. It was working when I got it then stopped. I put in Viper express connect GPS and remote starter in from Visions up here. Took it to the dealer they said none of the Ram/Dodge vehicles have this working and can't even use their computer to put the code in but in the USA this apparently all works. So I took it back to the Visions guy thinking maybe he put a code in or something there was an issue. He checked all the connections and codes and found nothing. He couldn't really understand what the idiot in the store wrote on the problem so he came out to the truck with me. Lo n behold it started working again. Both of us now puzzled then he thought maybe it was the smart FOB and I couldn't rem if I had which one I had at the time one me but then rem it was the one there when it came on. I tried the other FOB and nothing....I tried deleting my phone, re-installing it and re-pinning it now it's off again and this time no phonebook even. I told the dealer it all went off one day as I was driving down a freeway and on my dash messages saying auto wipers off, auto hibeams off, front park sensors off.... but when I started the truck up after this they were all on and even in the settings it was all still checked off. This on/off of this function is driving me crazy it's so useful. Does anyone know the code for setting this stupid thing on?? I pair a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 up to the uconnect. Can anyone help?? Before I go stir crazy.....dealer doesn't believe me it used to work. I'm heading there AGAIN tomorrow to show them the photos I took of it when it worked briefly yesterday.

Why did you put a different GPS in? The one that comes in the Rams is IMO the best out there. Is the one you put in integrated into the Ram Nav screen or just a dash mount one? Does the remote start work with the key fob?

Mine worked when I first got the truck new then the dealer took it upon themselves to flash the radio with all the latest updates and now it doesn't work anymore. Maybe a future radio update will fix the problem or it will just brick the radio and dealer will have to replace it next time.

I haven't had any updates. Does UConnect do automatic updates? I wish it would update my jittery rear cam, and leave the text messages alone!

My dealer just ordered me a new rear camera for that same issue! I'll update if it fixes it or not next week when I get it put in.

No the GPS didn't change it still uses the truck one. This is an additional feature for if your truck gets stolen...you know exactly where it is on your phone and cal alert the police to go get it or if yer brave/stupid enough go beat the crap outtas the guy that stole it in the first place. The dealer supposedly checked for all updates and said there were none.

Oh wow that's pretty cool! I thought that if it was thr factory GPS unit being altered that would have been your issue, guess not though! Did you get to use your factory fob with the viper remote start?

Xrsman-Yes it uses the factory FOBS just have to click the button 3x. I get alerts to my phone I can unlock and start it from anywhere with my phone as well as if someone should ever steal it well they might be surprised when my bat breaks their kneecaps as I know exactly where my truck is at all times.

It's very infuriating this problem and then they tell me that in ht eUSA you even can turn your truck into wifi....

Does anyone know a good dealer in the USA I want to call one and ask them maybe what the problem is or if there's a code...
Seems I may have to take a very long 10 hr drive to the US and take it into a dealer to get all these 2 goodies turned on. Very Very Frustrating.
