Hey Guys,

Rear passenger side brake hose somehow developed a hole. I'm not a mechanic but through the power of YouTube I'm typically able to handle most things myself. Haven't been able to find a video or walkthrough on changing this thing. It's it because it's that simple or is there anything I should know before embarking on this repair?

TIA

It's pretty much just that simple. Change the line, use new gaskets where applicable, bleed the line.

Do NOT use regular wrenches to remove & replace the hoses
Chances are that you will round off the fittings

Use a Line wrench

I know this video is about Ford brake lines, but they have several good tips about wrenches & cleaning & rust removal products to use before you break the line loose

Brake hoses are not that hard to change.
Be sure to clean the fittings off before starting to replace them.
That way you will not have any contaminants on the fittings or threads that could cause a potential problem during or after replacement

Move quickly once you start to remove it , you do not want your master cylinder to become empty or you could run into having to bleed the ABS system.
